Named Scholar Partner Program

For 25 years, Kids’ Chance of Washington has helped students pursue their educational dreams after a serious workplace injury or loss changed their family’s future. As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are proud to introduce the Named Scholar Partner Program. This is an opportunity for individuals, companies, unions, and organizations to make a lasting investment in a student’s future.

The Ryan Bury “Be Excellent to Each Other” Scholarship

Eastside Vocational Services is honored to establish this scholarship in recognition of our friend, colleague, and fellow team member, Ryan Bury.

“Be excellent to each other” is a phrase Ryan was known for, those words reflected the way Ryan approached life, his work, and how he interacted with the people around him. He believed in treating others with kindness, respect, encouragement, and genuine care.

Through this scholarship, Eastside Vocational Services hopes to carry Ryan’s message forward by supporting a student whose future is being shaped by perseverance, opportunity, and a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.

We are proud to honor Ryan’s memory and the lasting impact he made on those who had the privilege of knowing him. His words remind us that excellence is not only about what we accomplish, but also about how we treat each other along the way.

Be excellent to each other.
